Lively, colorful and vibrant Pondy bazaar was a short walk from my hotel and very lively and colorful in the evening. There are large stores, little stores and street vendors, things to eat. You can come here for some serious shopping or just to walk around and browse.

Good place for shopping. However, terrible place for walking as the footpath is being used for 2 wheelers to move and for their parking. A dangerous place to go to with small children and elderly. Avoid it if you can. A disgrace for Chennai.

Pondy bazzar Il looked bad and cheep. It was dirty. It was not a bazar at all. The pictures in the internet belong to pre-covid days. The shops are old and no standard pricing.
